August Book Club

We had a blast last night with dinner, discussion and games. It was fun to have so many there. We had 10 to dinner and then 2 ditched after that and the rest of us played games til midnight when several more of us ditched and 3 were left playing til all hours of the morning. In other words we all had a lot of fun.

Discussion Book: Brainiac, by Ken Jennings

The book should be pretty easy to get through the library system.

Angela submitted 4 books last night. How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Screwtape Letter, The Five Love Languages, and Wild at Heart. The voting resulted in choosing The Screwtape Letters, by CS Lewis as our book for September, which will be held at Angela's house.

July Book Club

Book Club this month will be our summer party!

Tonight we will be meeting at Annette's house at 6:30 pm. We will be going to Costa Vida for dinner by the E-Center. Bring about $10.00 for dinner (should be more than enough). Check out the website for menu and other info. http://www.costavida.net/locations/ut.html

We'll have a discussion about The Poisonwood Bible and then whatever comes to mind. Angela will be submitting.

Afterwards we may play games, go to a movie or rent one, but whatever we do, it will be fun.

We will also discuss a possible change for next month's book. We had chosen Jen's uncle's book Motive for Murder, but it is not available at the library. We had discussed another book that everyone seemed to want to read, The Brainiac by Ken Jennings that might be a good one and it is available at the library.

Next month (August 21st) will be at Mindy's house.
